Codify Academy, a part-time front-end development program is hosting a Women in Tech Panel event for people looking to either start their own startup or work for one. We will have five successful women in the tech industry talk about their startup journeys and help you launch yours. If you are also interested in joining a bootcamp and gain the necessary skills to enter the NYC tech community, this is the event for you. Follow us on twitter @codifyacad.

Diana Murakhovskaya , Co-Founder Monarq.co & #SheHacksNYC
Diana left the world of finance and engineering after ten years to fill a void in her life. She spent the next year exploring the world trying to figure out who she wants to be when she grows up. Diana has always loved bringing people together. She hosted and organized curated dinners and events for friends and family and for her foodie company The Sauce. She’s now using those talents and experiences to embark on a venture to help the ladies of the world make meaningful personal and professional connections through the Monarq platform. A global traveler, eater, hiker, climber, entrepreneur, and forever kid at heart, Diana truly believes in Girl Power!
Irene Ryabaya, Co-Founder Monarq.co & #SheHacksNYC
Irene is a citizen of the world, promoter of women, entrepreneur, techie and a lover of rock climbing, kayaking, mountaineering, hiking, scuba diving and all other hobbies for which you need to shop at REI. After almost a decade in finance on various commodity trading desks (as a developer and oil trader), Irene left the glitter and flashing lights of Wall Street for the greener and more exciting pastures of entrepreneurship. She traveled the world, mentored, learned to understand the new universe of web development, worked on EdTech, FinTech and Social Media startups and met many incredible people. Now Irene is applying the lessons she learned to what she loves best: empowering women via Monarq.
Diana Melencio,Co-Founder at OKMYOUTFIT, Inc
Diana spent 8 years on Wall Street before co-founding OkMyOutfit, a personal shopping and styling service based in New York. Their monthly subscription ($99/month) provides clients with unlimited shopping appointments, which includes personal shopping and delivery, in-person closet consultations and other exclusive discounts and perks. She is the lead on brand partnerships, investor relations, finance, and operations. In addition to her company, she also co-founded the Ascend Educational Fund, a non for profit organization that seeks to elevate New York’s immigrant community through education. Diana is passionate about education, disruptive products and services in the retail and fashion technology space, sharing best practices with fellow entrepreneurs, and a really good duck recipe.
Lindsay Tabas, Engineer and Software Architect
Lindsay Tabas describes herself as a Product and UX Designer, Startup Swiss Army Knife and Customer Experience Strategist. She has 9+ years of experience specializing in service systems, enterprise & B2C startup software, and agile design methods. After moving from Silicon Valley to the Alley here in NYC, she built the user research & testing practice at two start-ups, worked on several B2B/B2C eCommerce apps, and coached the 2014 class of EdTech startups in the Kaplan/TechStars accelerator.
Kanwal Jehan, Marketing Director at Codify Academy
Kanwal is a growth marketer and consultant. She previously worked in legal industry for 4 years and the non-profit sector for 2 years. She currently works for Codify Academy, a front-end development mentorship program. She has successfully transitioned into the tech scene with the help of StartUp Institute, a career accelerator, where she learned both hard and soft skills to make a smooth transition. She couldn’t have made this transition without the help of her mentors at StartUp Institute. She can’t wait to tell you all about her startup journey!
