Sidra Bell Dance New York in STELLA

New York choreographer Sidra Bell brings STELLA to APAP/2015. Bell is rapidly gaining an international profile for her visceral work, which unravels the complexities of the human condition through a distinctly female lens: her creations have been described as brainy, exuberant, sensual and intensely physical. STELLA (2012) is a series of dramatically theatrical scenes which explore ideas of the self, private space, voyeurism and participation: dark and probing, fantastical and romantic, the work demands both physical power and tender expressiveness from Bell’s crack ensemble of fearless and technically honed dancers.
