2015 Dance Forum
2015 Dance Forum
Come to learn, discuss, and network!
Join Dance/USA in taking a look at two major current issues to professional dance: national funding and touring. First we will look into national trends in funding. We will explore questions such as: What does the philanthropic future look like for foundations and corporations? What does research show us about foundation and corporate support? What trends are we seeing in corporate giving? What is the effect of foundations changing their giving priorities? Second, we will take a look at the myths and realities of touring in the U.S. for American dance companies. We will hear from individuals managing touring programs, presenters, and artists who each have a different perspective on the climate of touring in the U.S. today. Be ready to engage; both panels will offer open dialogue with Dance Forum attendees. Also, join us for special Dance/USA updates, updates on showcasing, and time to network with your friends and colleagues.
