Read of their outstanding upcoming Season!

Message from our Director
Dear Friends,
Nai-Ni and I have been working diligently over the past year, with your help and blessings, we have achieved several important milestones.  Today, I am proud to announce a season full of dance, new works and collaborations.  Not only for our artists, but also for our partners, students and parents.
In this newsletter, you will see a busy, vibrant dance company working across New Jersey, New York and around the country, bringing culture and arts to communities who feel the urge to see our work together, ask questions and experience the presence of live arts first hand.  We thank every presenter who is making each presentation possible.
More exciting is our new works and collaborations.  Last season, Nai-Ni created “Whirlwind”, an energetic and powerful work in collaboration with 4-time Grammy Award winner Glen Velez, inspired by her journey on the Silk Road.  It is now being presented by the prestigious Arts Midwest and Mid-Atlantic presenter showcases. Over the summer, Nai-Ni collaborated with world renowned composer Joan La Barbara to deliver a ground breaking seminar in Beijing on Music and Dance Collaboration at the Beijing Modern Dance Festival. We look forward to bringing this new seminar to dance and music departments all over the country.  This upcoming season, Nai-Ni Chen will be collaborating with another renowned composer Huang Ruo and the New Asia Chamber Music Society. Internationally, the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company has an agreement now with the Guangdong Modern Dance Company for the creation of a new work in the 2015 season.
For those who faithfully attend our Chinese New Year Celebration in the New Jersey/New York area, we are anticipating some wonderful new collaborators from China, who will bring a fresh new perspective of the cultural scene in Asia to you.
For parents and children who are inspired by the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company’s accomplishments, our recently founded Saturday Chinese Dance Workshops in Edison, NJ, a number of of teaching artists are now working with more than 30 students, advancing and preserving dance for future generations.
So, come join us, on stage and in studio. A wonderful year of exploration awaits.
Sincerely,
Andy Chiang and Nai-Ni Chen
