Once again :

This may sound geeky, but it is actually quite fun and often brilliant.

The New York Military Affairs Symposium meets weekly during the Spring and Fall and the organizers pride themselves as hosting the best military historians devoted to somewhat specialized subjects in a broader context. For those of us committed to the idea of a civilian army with democratic rule, the subject of weaponry and military campaigns comprise history lessons we never had the opportunity to hear taught by experts.
