Choices and Trends for Women "from Teens to Grandmothers"

WORKSHOP– Anna Deavere Smith Acting Workshop , San Francisco 6/9-17

We can make a huge recommendation that you follow Anna in all her endeavors, because she is the consummate working professional and a trailblazer in storytelling and narrative technique.

Personal Narratives: Global Identities is your chance to articulate your own narrative, to examine it from multiple points of view and to revise it.

Using acting techniques that she has developed over the years, and with a diverse faculty who will tease, cajole, and cause you to look through new lenses, you will explore how we construct our own identities, and how one might interact more effectively with others. The week will culminate in a performance, directed by Joe Salvatore, playwright, director and Professor of Educational Theatre at NYU Steinhardt.

This workshop is not just for actors. It’s for anyone who would like to tell their story in a more compelling way. It will facilitate leadership and more engaged relationships in all realms of life.

There will be lots of humor and camaraderie. It’s a vacation for your imagination, a shower for your soul.

If you can’t make it to San Francisco this summer, please take a moment to tell your colleagues and friends about the workshop.
