Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction

Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction

Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction is a comedy show (and podcast) held every month at the Nerdist Theater in Los Angeles, created & hosted by Bryan Cook. Each show features 10 comics, writing and performing Erotic Fan Fiction pieces, based on their whims or audience suggestions. It’s really stupid.
Bridget Everett

Bridget Everett

Bridget Everett is a singing tour de force known for her funny yet gut-wrenching, outrageous and unpredictable performance work. She’s been dubbed ‘Wynona Judd meets Melissa Etheridge, via the local bar floozy, on a rocket ship out of Twin Peaks’ by Michael Musto from the Village Voice. She
has appeared frequently on Time Out New York’s annual list of top cabaret performers, ranking number one in 2010 on a list which included Alan Cumming and Elaine Stritch. Bridget co-hosted Our Hit Parade, a sold-out monthly revue of current pop hits, with Kenny Mellman (Kiki and Herb) and Neal Medlyn at Joe’s Pub. She starred in the original musical At Least It’s Pink based on her life which she co-wrote with director Michael Patrick King (writer/director of hit tv series Sex and the City) and Mellman. Bridget has performed at Montreal’s Just for Laughs, New York Comedy Festival, HBO’s Aspen United States Comedy Arts Festival and the Adelaide International Cabaret Festival in Adelaide, Australia. This past year, Bridget has sung with Peaches, Patti Lupone, Flea, the Dan Band and more. She frequently collaborates with and can be seen alongside Adam Horovitz (Adrock of the Beastie Boys) in HBO Canada’s Funny as Hell. She is currently working on an
album of original music with her band, The Tender Moments, and will be touring with Amy Schumer this spring. Film: Sex and the City. TV: 2 Broke Girls, Jeffrey and Cole Casserole.
Travon Free

Travon Free

Born and raised in Compton California, Travon Free is a comedian, actor, and writer who takes to the stage with a fearless edge. The two time finalist and winner of the Ice House comedy club’s Uncle Clyde comedy contest proved he was born to command an audience from the first time he graced a stage. Looking back on the countless times he would sneak and listen to his mother’s Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, and Bill Cosby albums, this direction in life made perfect sense. Travon is currently a writer for The Daily Show with John Stewart, a contributing writer to The Urban Daily, and has been seen on such shows as Chelsea Lately, Tosh.0, Party Down, House, Southland, in various commercials and has been a featuring act for comedy mentor and friend Russell Peters on multiple occasions.
Max Silvestri

Max Silvestri

Max Silvestri is a comedian, writer and actor living in Brooklyn. New York Magazine called him one of the “Ten Comedians People Find Funny,” which means at least one person who works at a magazine thinks he is funny. He was one of Paste Magazine’s best comedians of the year, and he co-hosts Big Terrific every Wednesday at Cameo Gallery.

I do stand-up comedy in the Washington DC/Baltimore area. When I am sitting at (real) work I cannot do stand-up comedy, so I’ll maybe sometimes do this instead.
Chesley Calloway

Chesley Calloway

Chesley Calloway is the host of the East Village weekly standup showcase Comedy as a Second Language
Kenny DeForest

Kenny DeForest

Kenny DeForest is a 5 year stand up comedy veteran based in Chicago, IL. Labeled a hustler by his peers, Kenny’s comedy can be described as edgy, smart and honest. Since arriving in Chicago, Kenny has become a regular performer at Chicago’s top clubs and showcases including The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Bar, The Lincoln Lodge, Comedians You Should Know, and featured on the widely released “Chicago Mixtapes: Comedy Mixtape”; all after being named “Favorite Newcomer 2010” by comedyofchicago.com.
